During the spring evaluation period, University of Arkansas offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino visited California to see several quarterback prospects and that led to five underclassmen visiting the Hogs in June.
Highly touted class of 2026 quarterback Michael Mitchell Jr. made his way to Fayetteville on June 22 for his second unofficial visit. He previously visited the Hogs on April 13 for the spring game.
Mitchell, 5-11, 175 pounds, of Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, received a scholarship offer from Petrino on Feb. 6. He also has offers from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, California, Oregon State, Arizona State, UNLV, Washington State and others.
"I had a really great time," Mitchell said of his latest trip. "It was my second unofficial visit out there and my whole family was able to come.
